South Korean actress and model Jung Hye Sung was revealed to have personally chosen actor and 5urprise member Gong Myung to be her onscreen hubby on the popular reality variety show “We Got Married”. This was revealed by producer Heo Hang during the program’s press conference on December 14.
According to Heo, Jung had approached and told him that Gong was her ideal partner for the show’s new set of couple. Furthermore, the producer also shared his thoughts about the actress’ personality.
“Gong Myung and Jung Hye Sung met on 'My Ear's Candy'. People ask if I chose them as the new couple after seeing them on the show, but Jung Hye Sung was recommended to me before that. We were already having meetings," said the producer as quoted by All KPop.
He added: "Jung Hye Sung has such a lovely and appealing character. She was so honest she even emphasized 3 times that Gong Myung is her ideal type. And after meeting Gong Myung, I believed that many stories could be created. I chose them with a curiosity on how it'll be having a couple where one is [already] interested in the partner."
On December 9, the new couple’s teaser shots were revealed to the public. In one of the still scenes, Jung and Gong were seen to be enjoying their time together inside a cable car on their first date in a ski resort.
Meanwhile, Jung’s talent management agency FNC Entertainment has recently revealed that the actress is set to star in KBS’ upcoming TV drama series “Section Chief Kim” alongside actors Nam Goong Min and Nam Sang Mi. According to reports, the show will be airing in February next year.
