It looks like that the forthcoming Hit saga from the "Dragon Ball Super" episode will be the big story arc that almost everyone is expecting. The upcoming immense saga will take place in 2017.
It was reported that the next week's issue of Shonen Jump magazine hints what the upcoming "Dragon Ball Super" story arc is all about. Unfortunately, the epic saga will not begin until February 5 of next year.
"Dragon Ball Super" takes a hiatus for New Year's Day along with some other episodes after the said holiday. It is probable that a new saga won't begin until the holidays are over. Besides, not much people watch TVs especially during the holidays, the Attack of the Fanboy reported.
The "Dragon Ball Super" saga is known as the "Universal Survival Arc" and says "Now to battle Universe 7's mightiest team". It is more likely that this saga refers to the multi-universe competition that was previously discussed a few months ago. Just in case, it will include more than just Universe 6 and 7.
Goku's team includes Vegeta, Buu, Android 17 and 18, Krillin, Gohan, Master Roshi, Piccolo, and Tien. It is not confirmed if Goten and Trunks will take part in the tournament since no kids are allowed.
Fans are surely confused why Master Roshi is going to participate in the tournament while Yamcha, Goten, and even Trunks are not included in the roster.
Comic Book reported that "Dragon Ball Super" fans can now follow the new saga once it goes live. Funimation along with other numerous streaming sites obtained rights to broadcast the series during the early quarters of this year. The sites will be airing the episodes all at the same time in Japan with English subtitles. Funimation is the process of incorporating an English dub on the backlogged episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" that will air in January 7 on Toonami.
Shueisha's V Jump February 2017 issue confirmed that the new saga will reach fans on February 5 next year and will be known as "Universal Survival."
