During the hype of the "Rogue One" phenomenon, "Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill, known for playing the iconic Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, gave his review of the latest film in the franchise in Twitter. And, by the Force, he was more than impressed!
According to news sources, Hamill tweeted: "Perfect Cast Astonishing Action Non-Stop Thrills Grabs U from the 1st frame & never let's go! Not just a great #SWMovie A #GreatMovie PERIOD!"
"I'm euphoric and exhilarated," he went on in his Twitter post. "Ingenious the way it deepens and expands the [Star Wars universe] yet works as a stand-alone movie."
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is somewhat like a spin-off/prequel to the entire main saga, being set in events right before "Star Wars IV: A New Hope," where Hamill first donned the role of Luke Skywalker. The film's plot centers around the newly added heroes in the entire universe of "Star Wars" whose main goal is to find and acquire the blueprints to the sinister Empire's super weapon, the Death Star.
It's actually intriguing to see that numerous critics have given the film widespread praise, including Hamill, a notable actor in the entire franchise. The actor will be reprising his role in "Episode VIII" sometime in 2018.
In other news, another celebrity has once again secretly taken a small in the latest installment of the "Star Wars" film saga. While we had a cameo of James Bond actor Daniel Craig taking the role of the generic stormtrooper who guarded Rey in "Episode VII: The Force Awakens," this time music artist Jordan Stephens from the hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks has been reported to be in the film.
"Rogue One" actor Riz Ahmed, who played the character Bodhi Rook in the movie, did give the surprising reveal on Stephens' involvement in the film during an interview with Yahoo Movies. The singer did take up the role of a Rebel Soldier in the film. We might have to watch the movie again sometime to see any semblance of Stephens in the film.
Stephens also had some previous on-screen appearance with E4's drama series, "Glue."
"Rogue One" hit $71 million at the domestic box office on Friday, aiming to hit between $140-150 million at the box office this weekend, making it one of the most successful "Star Wars" film in history.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is now currently in theaters and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, and Ben Mendelsohn.
