Hugh Jackman's "Logan" is reportedly his final stint as the Wolverine. But recent rumors might hold-off his retirement as the clawed superhero as he comments on the possibility of teaming up with Reynolds for the upcoming "Deadpool 2."
More Wolverine in 2018?
One of the biggest movie hits in 2016 is the superhero movie "Deadpool" as it rakes hundreds of millions in ticket sales on a measly budget. Because of its success, additional superheroes are rumored to be added in the upcoming sequel and one of the biggest names in X-Men franchise could be up for an appearance.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Reynolds is very interested in appearing on screen with Wolverine, especially when played by Hugh Jackman. He also revealed that he'll have to convince the Australian actor first and would probably need help from everyone to change his mind about retiring as a mutant superhero.
Wolverine Not As Hugh Jackman
Reynolds' impression that everyone has to convince Jackman to come back as a mutant one more time in 2018 is also shared by Jackman himself. According to Cinemablend, he was positive on getting in front of the screen with Reynolds but he also acknowledged that there are a number of individuals already in consideration to replace him.
There is a possibility that Wolverine could team up with Deadpool in the upcoming sequel. However, Reynolds may find himself teaming up with another actor because Jackman may have finally made his final statement about being Wolverine. The actor first appeared as part of X-Men in the 2000 film of the same name and he's set to end his run more than 15 years later next year.
Jackman will be playing Wolverine for the last time in "Logan" and its set to premiere March next year. On the other hand, Reynolds will return in "Deadpool 2" January 2018.
