CD Projekt Red, best known for developing the hit "Witcher 3," recently applied four proposals for funding through the Poland's National Center for Research and Development. The gaming program, called GameINN, approved the proposals and gave around $7 million for the purpose of creating new game features.

Some of the features the Polish government supported include cinematic feel, city-creation, seamless multiplayer, and much more. Many websites are reporting that this may be related to their upcoming development "Cyberpunk 2077".

Many other video game developers received funding through the program, with a total of $45.1 million released for almost 40 games. Some of the developers that received money include Fuero Games, Techland, CI Games, 11 Bit Studios, and Vivid Games. "Cyberpunk 2077" was reported to have a bigger development team compared to "Witcher 3" though it may still be a long way off. The company has hinted that the game will be much larger in scale with around 400 people working on it.

They also want to hire more people with other developments already in the works. They are set to release three games within the 2017-2021 window including "Cyberpunk 2077", "Gwent: The Witcher Card Game", and another title that is yet to be revealed. According to numerous reports, they are working on an RPG with features they have not worked on before.

The unnamed game was announced during a September earnings report which revealed that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is still selling well, giving the company an overall profit of $9.1 million this year. The expansions for "Witcher 3" such as "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" have been a positive effect to their sales though they did not reveal any specific figures.

CD Projekt Red is set to reveal more about "Cyberpunk 2077" in 2017 while "Gwent" recently went into closed beta last October 2016.
