Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup and husband Lloyd Lee welcomed their first baby on Sunday, January 24.
Supsup shared a photo of their baby girl, named Nyke, on Instagram. The beauty queen explained that she intended to have a normal delivery but ended up having her via a cesarean section.
"arrived at the hospital, 7cm dilated. really thought i could deliver normally, but because of unforeseen circumstances, had to undergo CS. everything just hurts, but seeing your baby for the first time is just magical. thank you Lord for giving us this healthy, strong and super bait na baby," she posted.
The post has already generated more than 10,000 likes and 300 comments congratulating the couple for their bundle of joy. Some also claimed that the baby already bore a resemblance to the beauty queen.
After being engaged for over two years, Supsup and Lee got married in Dec. 29, 2013. In an interview with Philippine Star, Supsup shared that she always knew that Lee was the one for her.
"I told myself that if I was going to have a boyfriend, he was the one I would marry," she added.
The happy couple met back in 2011 through Lee's cousin Carolyn Ty, who also joined Bb. Pilipinas. Supsup admitted that she was hesitant to date Lee, thinking that he seemed like a playboy. Ty, however, was quick to assure her that he was nothing of that sort.
Supsup and Lee were already together when she competed for Miss Universe in Brazil. She shared that they never lost touch throughout the competition, that he even ended up losing sleep just to check up on her.
She said that Lee would stay up until the wee hours of the morning just so that the two of them would get to talk on the phone. Up until this day, Supsup shared that they would not go an hour without texting or calling each other.
When asked about the quality she liked most about Lee, Supsup said that she admired how he always put their relationship above everything else. She added that he always made her feel important and special.
