Singer-actress Sulli is currently in hot water for her alleged "inappropriate" Instagram post.
On Dec. 19, the former f(x) member took to her Instagram account to share a selca with Lee Sung Min and Bae Jung Nam during the premiere night of action-thriller film "Master." While there was nothing wrong with the photo, Sulli's caption of the post did not go unnoticed to the netizens.
Sulli wrote, "Meeting for the first time in awhile with Sung Min-ssi whom I love, and Bae Jung Nam oppa. Let's all go cheer on Dong Won oppa!"
According to Allkpop, netizens were angered when Sulli called Lee Sung Min by his first name, adding the suffix "ssi" at the end. Although the suffix is used as an expression of respect, many netizens thought it was inappropriate for Sulli to use it towards the actor.
Amid receiving hate comments from the netizens for her post, Sulli took the courage to address the matter and said, "It's just a nickname that I use. Don't react so sensitively! Haha."
But that does not stop the netizens from criticizing the former f(x) member. Some of them are even accusing Sulli of being rude. "Sulli really did wrong this time. No matter how close you are, using a nickname like that is rude to both Lee Sung Min and his wife," a netizen wrote.
Meanwhile, there were also who stood up with Sulli and said some of the netizens are just overreacting. "Korean netizens make fuss about little things like this. Some of them really need professional help," a commenter posted.
In other news, Sulli and her boyfriend Choiza continue to prove that they are still together amid breakup rumors. According to Koreaboo, the former f(x) member recently shared a photo of her and Choiza at a shopping mall.
On the same day, Choiza took to his Instagram account to share a photo of him while carrying Sulli's shopping bag. He captioned the post, "Porter's life," while Sulli thanked her boyfriend in the comment section.
