Big Hit Entertainment has released a dispatch to announce that Suga will not be participating in year-end performances and events due to an ear injury.
The label said the BTS member tripped over a door which resulted to an ear injury, adding that Suga was even rushed to a plastic surgeon and was recommended to take rest from performing and attending events to avoid irritation, Allkpop cited.
"After rechecking the ear injury on the 21st, we found that there weren't any other injuries than on his ears; however, it'll be best for him to not participate in dance practice and performance for a week in order to recover," Big Hit Entertainment said.
Following the doctor's advice, the agency said Suga will focus on his recovery. However, the label said fans will still have the chance to see the BTS member as he will still be present during performances and events to greet them.
"We apologize to those fans who've been dearly waiting for BTS's end-of-the-year performance and events. The BTS members will work hard to finish this year healthily and greet 2017. Thank you," the label concluded.
Meanwhile, Suga's first mixtape called "Agust D" was selected as an official entry for "THE 20 BEST MIXTAPES OF 2016" by FUSE TV, Soompi noted. The column even commended the BTS member for releasing a mixtape that talks about his personal struggles in achieving fame.
"The band's aggressive rapper Suga did this by adopting an entirely new persona, Agust D, through a tape that featured topics like his struggles with fame and depression," FUSE TV wrote.
Suga's "Agust D" mixtape was released in August. It features a total of 10 tracks including "Give It To Me" and "So Far Away." Simultaneously, the BTS member released the music videos of "Agust D" and "Give it to Me."
