After an explosive segment, "Chicago Fire" is set to air eventful episode 12. The upcoming segment is titled "Not Everyone Makes it" and it sees the aftermath of the recent tornado hitting the city. At the same time, Freddie's trial moves forward wherein Herrmann is forced to make a difficult decision. As for Lieutenant Kelly Severide, he finds a new love interest. In episode 11 "The Path of Destruction," tornado shakes the Chicago city and the Chicago Fire Department heroes prepare for the disaster. Meanwhile, Herrmann is back and Chili's erratic behaviour puts her in trouble. Chili and Jimmy finally come face to face after their breakup.
Episode 12 "Not Everyone Makes it" showcases the aftereffects of the tornado in Chicago. According to Spoiler TV's description for the next segment of "Chicago Fire" Season 4, Herrmann, who is still recovering after the attack, will be taking the witness stand in the law of court. However, something unexpected happens when Freddie's father approaches Herrmann and pleads him to not testify against Freddie. This puts Herrmann in a difficult position and he is forced to make a tough decision. Will Herrmann forgive Freddie or not?
Elsewhere, Lt. Casey is upset to find out that the makeshift shelter house might soon be shutting down. Alderman Colin Becks asks Casey to attend the fundraiser where he is disappointed when he finds out that the initiative may not be fulfilled.
After telling on Chili to Chief Boden, Dawson and Brett might regret their decision. Chili may have to pay the price of their actions. As for Severide, he assists Agent Alex Ward in solving the mysterious case of homemade explosives and this may bring them closer. Sparks fly and things get heated between the two. A promo video for episode 12 shows Severide and Ward kissing and making out. The scene shifts to the spot where the firefighters attempt to put off the fire and save the passengers of the bus on fire. Scroll down to watch the video. Fans can also expect to see Steven R. McQueen in the episode. Details about his appearance are not revealed in the synopsis.
