It is confirmed that Korea's "Running Man" will no longer air after its last episode in February. The favorite show has been slammed with many controversies and the officials of SBS officially apologized to the crews and members of the most-watched TV show.
News about "Running Man" getting canceled is all over the place and was just recently confirmed and its final episode will air next year. Many fans and viewers did not expect the removal of Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo from the show which for many is unacceptable without any notice. SBS and "Running Man" already apologized before, but this time, it's a public apology and did it in the latest episode, Koreaboo reported.
During the "Running Man" Christmas presentation on Sunday, members assembled together in front of a box with a gift from the TV show's staff. The huge gift consisted of a basketful of apples along with a note from the staff. Apples or "sagwa" in Korean symbolizes apology.
According to allkpop, Yoo Jae Suk was the one who opened the letter which stated, "To the members of Running man we love. We apologize for putting you guys through such pain. We will work hard and become a more mature team of staff."
Lately, it was announced that "Running Man" is going to make some changes to the program's format for the upcoming season. Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo were not notified of their probable farewell which offended them and created bickering. SBS accepted their fault regarding the misunderstanding and chose to cease the show by February 2017.
Meanwhile, "Running Man" members had a reunion for the last time when they attended the 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards. Lee Kwang Soo bagged the Lee Kwang Soo for his "Running Man" role. He devoted his achievement to the members and crew of the said show, demonstrating his affection and faithfulness to everyone.
