BIGBANG's Seungri in a tell-it-all on "Radio Star" revealed why he has chosen to stay single for a long time.
According to Allkpop, Seungri said he has experienced being heartbroken which could be the reason why he has no girlfriend for years. His BIGBANG co-members even revealed Seungri once assumed he and a girl were dating; however, the girl denied she is seeing the idol.
"Seungri thought that they were dating. He even told us that they dated for about a year," Taeyang said which was supported by G-Dragon who added, "She and I had a mutual friend, so I asked my friend. But the girl denied that they were dating."
Seungri admitted he liked the girl, adding that they even have exchanged handwritten letters. He added that he was able to talk to the girl's mom, which made him assume their relationship is exclusive.
"I was really hurt and traumatized by the fact that she denied our relationship...probably because she was dating someone else at the same time. Since then I haven't had a girlfriend," the BIGBANG idol said.
During that "Radio Star" interview, Seungri accidentally mentioned a Japanese word, which raised speculations that the girl could be from Japan.
Previously, Seungri was involved in a dating rumor linking him to a certain Maggie. According to Soompi, the girl took to Weibo to share a photo of her with the BIGBANG member and Taiwanese actor Darren Wang.
Maggie captioned the photo, "Men can leave but friends are always by your side. I've learned gratitude and what is precious. Thank you to all the good friends around me."
Prior to that, Seungri and Maggie were reportedly spotted in Taiwan, raising speculations that the two are seeing each other. However, the BIGBANG member has finally spoken up after netizens were attacking Maggie for the recent photo.
Seungri reposted the photo and said, "Maggie is really my friend. Please stop attacking her. Thank you."
