It's confirmed! Former H.O.T members Kangta and Moon Hee Jun will share the stage for a performance during Moon Hee Jun's finale concert. It is said that the two singer star will come together for a performance almost after 15 years.
According to Soompi, Ahn Chil Hyun, professionally known as Kangta, will take the stage for a guest appearance at Moon's solo concert's closing gig on Jan. 31. This will be "BEGINS" singer's fourth and the final concert marking the 20th anniversary since his debut in the music industry.
The first concert was held on Jan. 23, followed by two more stage shows on Jan. 24 and Jan. 30. This will bring together the 90's boy band H.O.T's members after it got disbanded in early 2000's. The last time Kangta and Moon shared the stage was during their last H.O.T. concert in 2001 with the other three members of their group, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony An and Lee Jae-won.
After the disbandment of the group, both the artists went on to pursue the solo music career. Moon created quite a stir in the media with his latest album "Alone." It was followed by his controversial second album "Messiah." Its song "Media" was banned from some broadcasting stations in South Korea. Following which, Moon has released seven more albums.
As for Kangta, he became the first member of the band to release his solo album after the disbandment. His album "Polaris" was a hit with music lovers. Following which, he released his second album titled "Pinetree."
Recently, rumours about H.O.T.'s reunion plans surfaced. However, Kangta's tour manager reportedly assured that Kangta's appearance on Moon's concert has nothing to do with H.O.T.'s reunion plan. He will only be the part of the concert as a guest performer.
Earlier, in September 2015, Korea Times reported that H.O.T. members are considering reuniting. It was also reported that the band will organise a concert on the 20th anniversary of its debut. It was said that the members are still discussing the reunion. However, they are yet to make a decision. The reports were never confirmed as it lacked comments and confirmation from the associated persons or the band members.
