A fan made video of "Westworld" meets "Game of Thrones" is making buzz online. The clip features Kit Harrington's Jon Snow as the main character and his narrative as an assumed host inside the expanding theme park of Westworld.
Crossovers are not uncommon in the world of television today. With the arrival of Westworld last fall on HBO, the fans of the scifi series invested their time to conjure multiple theories about what was really going on inside the theme park unbeknownst to TV viewers. Coincidentally, "Game of Thrones" is set in Westeros where characters have their way of being resurrected from the dead with the help of sorcery.
A perfect example is Jon Snow, who after getting killed during the sixth season finale, literally rose from his deathbed and is now alive and kicking. This particular plot point has now become an inspiration of the fan made video circulating online.
Titled "Westeros World: Jon Snow's Narrative," the clip plays out in the same pattern that Dolores has been introduced as a host in Westworld. From the moment she wakes up in the morning, up until she gets killed into a new narrative.
Although Dolores is an actual host and has remembered time and time again how she gets killed in a certain storyline, the idea of Jon Snow's narrative also works. However, it falls short in keeping the DNA of "Westworld" because Melisandre used sorcery to bring him back. Perhaps the repetitive scene of Snow waking up would have made more sense if magic wasn't part of the equation.
Still, the video adds another interesting layer to the theory that "Game of Thrones" might be just an extended division of "Westworld." We know that "Westworld" is setting up a Samurai World in Season 2, so that makes for a lot of possibilities. It may not be an actual Westeros world. But if there will be dragons and knights involved, it's likely that Game of Thrones fans will highly appreciate that.
"Westworld" Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2018 on HBO. Meanwhile, Game of Thrones will return for its seventh season in the summer of 2017.
