A new "GTA 5" Mod will bring back the beauty of the GTA 4 map in the upcoming "GTA 5" Liberty City Mod. The mod is created by the modding team named OpenIV who spent plenty of hours to make the Liberty City accessible in GTA 5.
Gamespot released a report confirming the upcoming appearance of the Liberty City in the Grand Theft Auto 5 game. OpenIV is responsible for this amazing mod that will allow Los Santos and Liberty City appear together in the same game series.
It has been reported that the OpenIV team started working with the mod since 2015 when the first PC update was released. As shown in the trailer, Liberty City won't be replacing the current Los Santos, instead, Liberty City is accessible just across the ocean.
So, the catch is, since the new "GTA 5" Liberty City Mod will add a new city to the current "GTA 5" game, players will need to have both of the game. Obviously, the mod is exclusive to the Windows PC platform.
Lucky for those still have the GTA 4 installed on their computer, and for those already uninstalled the game, reinstall it. To those who don't have a physical copy, you can download the game via Steam.
OpenIV will release a downloadable tool that will let the player extract the Liberty City files transform it to a DLC pack for "GTA 5." OpenIV is pretty genius to make a program and tools to patch the files created from GTA IV and throw it to the GTA 5 folder.
The VG247 reported that along with the existence of the Liberty City in the "GTA 5," there will be some sort of new missions included in the mod. OpenIV confirms there will some mechanics taken from the episodes of the Liberty City. The only drawback that may seem to have this mod is that it will be blocked from the online features of the "GTA 5" since mods are prohibited on PC platform.
