It seems like Nam Tae Hyun is planning to form a new band after the idol announced his desire to make his own group.
According to Soompi, the former WINNER member took to his Tumblr account to share his aspiration to have a new band. On the same day, Nam Tae Hyun said he is looking for band performers, raising speculations that the idol might be gearing up for a comeback with a new band.

Performers who can play guitar, drums, bass, or piano, please drop me an email with a brief self-introduction, your performance video, and your photo (all three are needed). It would be best if you cover the songs on my Soundcloud, but you can also perform songs of your own choice.
I will not be taking in more than 4 people. Please send in all the information in Korean. I will contact you after reviewing the applications.
This project may be cancelled at any time," Nam Tae Hyun posted.
In October, the idol was reported to take a hiatus due to mental health issues. However, YG Entertainment, in November, said Nam Tae Hyun will permanently leave WINNER and the label after his contract expired, Allkpop reported.
"We believe that the pressure on Nam Tae Hyun in causing issues to the group can no longer be halting the promotion of WINNER who's only a group of 2 years," the label said.
Following the announcement, YG Entertainment asked the fans to continue their support to Nam Tae Hyun and WINNER as they take different paths. On the other hand, the former WINNER member apologized to his fans through a written letter.
The idol promised to continue making good music even after his departure from WINNER. Nam Tae Hyun also vowed to make a comeback with new songs and projects for his fans.
