"Goblin" continues to win the hearts of its viewers as it recorded a remarkable viewership ratings of 17.2 percent for its episode 11.
According to Allkpop, "Goblin" drew nearer to beating "Reply 1988" in terms of viewership ratings after its 11th episode was aired. Reports claimed "Reply 1988" holds the record for tvN drama series with the highest viewership ratings at 18.6 percent.
Further reports claimed it is possible for "Goblin" to dethrone "Reply 1988" with the popularity of the former.
Yibada cited Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook's bromance was well-received by the viewers, making it one of the reasons why "Goblin" has been considered of the best Korean dramas.
Lee Dong Wook recently talked about playing as the grim reaper on "Goblin," admitting that he was hesitant to take the role when it was first offered to him. However, the actor said accepting the role was one of the best decisions he has made by far.
The actor is looking forward to know the impact of the grim reaper in the second half of "Goblin." Lee Dong Wook said, "Details of the grim reaper's past life have been revealed more and more, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the various conflicts play out."
On the other hand, reports stated Lee Dong Wook was not the first choice of Kim Eun Sook to play as the grim reaper on "Goblin." The actor reportedly had to work hard to win the heart of the writer to give him a chance for the role.
