F(x) member Amber confirms on Instagram that singer Ailee is going to make her US debut soon under a new stage name.
Amber posted a teaser image for an artist named A.Leean who will make her US debut in January with the album titled "Fall Back." Amber supported her close friend Ailee by writing "This gonna be fire."
Although Amber didn't mention Ailee, many speculated that A.Leean and Ailee is the same person, since A.Leean sounds closely similar to the name of Ailee's fan club, Aileean, Koreaboo reported.
A.Leean's album, "Fall Back," will be out on Jan. 7 on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon. Her music video will be released on Jan. 11 through YouTube and Vevo.
Soompi reported that A.Leean or Ailee is promoting under Los Angeles-based management agency WestSide Entertainment. Ailee was born and raised in the United States and moved to South Korea in 2010 to pursue her singing career. Years later, Ailee has already established herself as one of the best vocalist ever in Korea's music industry.
A source from A.Leean's side said, "[They would like their] artist's breathtaking voice, talent and up-beat fun song to speak for itself, rather than her already established name and brand."
Prior to her K-Pop debut, Ailee was signed under a New York-based independent agency named Muzo Entertainment. Through the agency she was able to work with artists such as Johnnyphlo and rapper Decipher.
In 2010, she was later recruited by YMC Entertainment, which kick-started her singing career. She made her solo debut with the song "Heaven," for which she won two awards at the Cyworld Music Awards, namely "Song of the Month" and "Rookie of the Month." Ever since her debut, she has released one studio album and four EPs, including the high-charting "A New Empire."
