The highly anticipated "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has been the subject of worry among fans lately as news about its frame rate and resolution, and character systems have yet to be finalized. However, the Bioware game is poised to drops the season pass for all future expansions of the game.

What this means for 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' and the franchise

BioWare refused to comment further on its plans for all future DLCs for "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which is slated to release this March. But for now, the plan to ditch season passes for the much-awaited game is good news, especially given the trend of gaming industry leaders recently on DLCs.

GameRant reported that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" could easily follow in the footsteps of its contemporaries like EA's "Titanfall 2." The game did not have a season pass because it released all post-launch DLCs for free. The same strategy has been adopted by another gaming giant, Ubisoft, which earlier announced that DLCs that do "not [add] something on top of the actual experience of the game, then it is no good. Because you'll be asking for more money for the wrong reasons," according to Cinemablend.

DLCs for 'Mass Effect: Andromeda'

Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn seemed to hit the same vein on his Twitter with regard to "Mass Effect: Andromeda." However, he further explained that DLCs are not yet off the table for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" since the team has yet to discuss their post-launch plans.

But even without the DLCs, the upcoming "Mass Effect: Andromeda" sound just as exhilarating even as a standalone main campaign. The Bioware game's sci-fi universe has been expanded to highlight exploration even further, and is slated to introduce more characters into the galaxy.

Other things to expect from 'Mass Effect: Andromeda'

So far, there are a lot of things that need polishing for "Mass Effect: Andromeda," such as frame rate and resolution. Flynn however the game was around 1080p for PS4, 900p on Xbox One, with 30 frames per second, according to VG 24/7.

The upcoming Andromeda game is slated to release on March 21 on Xbox, Playstation and PC.
