After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosions debacle, the entire tech world thought Samsung was going to have a hard time bouncing back as a reputable smartphone manufacturer. But if the leaks for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro are anything to go by, it would seem the South Korean tech giant is ready to dominate anew--this time, the midrange smartphone market.
What the Samsung C5 Pro, C7 Pro is expected to cost
Price leaks of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro and Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro smartphones have been circulating online, confirming earlier speculations that the upcoming phones fit the midrange market. These are expected to launch in China, where the original Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 handsets were released, according to Android Headlines.
The report stated that the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is pegged at around 2,399 Yuan (or around $350). The larger C7 Pro, on the other hand, will cost around 2,799 Yuan ($405), or at least 400 Yuan more than the Galaxy C5 Pro.
Specifications and features
According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to have a 5.2" or 5.5" 1080p touchscreen. It's powered by the Snapdragon 626 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 16 MP cameras for both front and back shooters. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is also juiced up by a powerful 3,000 mAH battery, and will run on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro, meanwhile, is said to sport a 5.7" 1080p display. But apart from its screen size, there's really not much difference between the two, as both Galaxy C phones share the same specs with each other. The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro, however, is expected to have a longer battery life than the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro, GSMArena reported.
