Martin Gero assured fans that they will learn more about the tiger tattoo on Jane's neck from "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 11 and 12.The showrunner also addressed questions whether Reade and Zapata could become romantically involved.
Gero talked about the twist in the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2 in a recent interview. He confirmed that the large tiger tattoo was supposed to be on Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) neck. However, Sandstorm changed its mind and decided against putting it there.
Gero said that viewers will know soon enough why Sandstorm did not put the tiger tattoo. The early part of the second season will further reveal details about the ink.
"That'll be solved sooner than you think, is the good news. You won't have to wait too long," Gero told TV Guide.
Likewise, the showrunner teased that the tiger tattoo leads back to Jane's brother Roman (Luke Mitchell). Gero hinted that Roman knows what the symbol means and how it connects to Sandstorm.
"I think it really plays into the Roman storyline in a nice way in the next couple episodes," Gero further told the publication.
Interestingly, the synopsis for "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 12 teased the involvement of a tattoo in the FBI's mission. According to Spoilers Guide, an unfamiliar tattoo leads back to Roman. This ink also involves a biker gang that has a bad reputation. The FBI must decide whether they should send Roman undercover.
Did Gero just hint that "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 12 features the tiger tattoo? After all, the series creator said that fans will find out more about the tattoo in the next two episodes, meaning in episode 11 and 12. LIkewise, the trailer below for episode 11, "Droll Autumn, Unmutual Lord," features the tiger tattoo.
Meanwhile, Gero also talked about the kiss that Reade gave Zapata in the midseason premiere. He denied that any romance would develop between the two agents in "Blindspot" Season 2. Reade and Zapata will remain as best friends and nothing more.
