‘Granrodeo’ Update: Popular Japanese duo stage comeback; 7th album ‘Pierrot Dancin’ to release on Feb. 8

The popular Japanese rock unit "Granrodeo" announced their upcoming seventh album, "Pierrot Dancin," which will be out on shelves by Feb. 8 this year. The two-member rock band even put out a special webpage for the announcement, and released short music videos for songs in the album.

The upcoming "Granrodeo" album, "Pierrot Dancin," will be featuring 13 songs as well as music videos for the tracks. Some of the songs in the upcoming album include anime theme songs for hit shows like "Bungo Stray Dogs," "Kuroko's Basketball," and "Mobile Suit Garden, Iron-Blooded Orphans," according to Crunchyroll.

What to expect from the upcoming 'Pierrot Dancin' album

Some of the titles in the upcoming new "Pierrot Dancin" album are already up on the "Granrodeo's" official website. These include titles like "Trash Candy," "One Way Love," "Punky Funky Love [With Fire Horns]," "Lovers' High," "Fat Shaper," and "Under the Sky." The duo also announced a series of dates for their upcoming live tours this 2017, which include Tokyo, Sapporo and Nagoya. No official announcement yet on whether they will be doing overseas tours.

A report from Ota-suke stated that the first part of the lead song in "Granrodeo's" "Pierrot Dancin" album, "Pierrot Dancin," will be aired on Feb. 5. The second half will be broadcast in March. To amplify the celebration, "Granrodeo's" first Budokan performance, titled "Granrodeo 5th Anniversary Live at Budokan" in 2010 will be televised on the TBS channel on Feb. 5.

Who is 'Granrodeo': Brief background

For the newly initiated, 'Granrodeo' is a Japanese rock duo formed by Kisho Taniyama and guitarist Masaaki Izuka. Both artists go by KISHOW and e-ZUKA, respectively. They made their debut on the popular TV anime show "Go for It," and have since built their careers on hit songs and anime theme songs due in part to Kisho's extensive anime background. Taniyama is best known for his work on "Uta no Prince Sama" and "Attack on Titan."
