The partnership aims to encourage Australians to make mindfulness part of their daily mobile phone behaviour.

A statement released by Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure on Jan. 10 has sparked some intriguing question if their subsidiary brand, Virgin, would come out with a free phone service. Lots of Americans are looking forward to it becoming possible.

According to Phandroid, Virgin mobile is looking like they are about to test something that involves free phone service. This is what tech experts have gathered from an investor's conference call that Claure was involved with. He said that Sprint is now experimenting with a new business strategy that would fit perfectly for their other brand, Virgin Mobile.

Claure's vision for Virgin Mobile is that it becomes their disruptive brand. He said that people would see their service, as they test various models. One of these products that caught their eye has the potential to provide free airtime without them having to subsidize the handset itself. That statement alone is promising enough for the company to give out a free phone service.

Another tech site, News.LeakIte got a hold of this story saying this idea that Sprint has for their Virgin Mobile division could be Cricket and Metro's biggest competition in a mobile market. Boost, on the other hand, would still be a strong brand as Virgin would remain to be Sprint's disrupter brand.

Just the sound of "free phone service" would already get a lot of people signing up for it. Tech experts, however, are still thinking this could be too good to be true because most telephone companies have a reputation for being greedy with their business. This is probably the first time that a company would even consider doing something as risky as this.

Experts in this industry are not exactly sold out to the idea of yet because Claure's statement could actually be interpreted as a lot of things. It is not concrete enough to conclude that indeed, Virgin Mobile will produce a free phone service for their subscribers. However, there is hope that it could happen and the only question, in the end, is what would be the catch.
