A report from Gamespot rendered some details about the update. The report mentioned that it's a big day for "Gears of War 4" and as announced previously, an update for the Xbox One and PC shooter coming today will add two new maps and 280 cards to collect as part of the Series 2 package.
The new maps are Blood Drive and Clocktower, the Blood Drive first appeared in "Gears of War 2" and was re-imagined in "Gears of War 3," and now it's been re-imagined again for "Gears of War 4," while for Clocktower, it was in the first "Gears of War" and "Gears of War 3," as noted by the same post.
Additional details from Engadget reported that the developer is rolling out Title Update 3 in January, and it'll introduce the first phase of efforts to punish those who bail prematurely and if a player quits a Core or Competitive round, they'll face a temporary matchmaking ban to "discourage drop out behavior"
