Marvel TV Head Jeph Loeb said that he is open to getting the "Defenders" to crossover to other Marvel heroes on film.

In an interview, Loeb said that he is open to have a crossover between the upcoming television series and MCU films. However, he did not promise nor denied anything, Screen Rant reported.

"If the story warrants it, we will obviously do our best to have folks cross into each other's story lines," he said.

In earlier reports, he addressed the lack of direct acknowledgment between television and movie characters saying that the crossover must have an organic connection. They do not want these characters to meet just for the sake of connectivity. In Netflix tv shows, smaller and subtle references to earlier films of the MCU had been dropped. The same is through for MCU property "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" over at ABC.

On the same interview, Loeb also dismissed claims of a possible "superhero fatigue" by the press, Entertainment Weekly reported. He said that the superhero genre just as grounded as other shows. He also opined that the same could also be said for other shows but curiously, superhero shoes are being singled out before turning the conversation back to the "Defenders."

"I don't know that you'd be asking this question if we were a medical show or a law show or a cop show. I think the other part that separates us from, let's just say, our distinguished competition, is that we take place in a very real, grounded world. We've always said that there is a fifth Defender, and that is New York," he explains.

"The Defenders" is a Netflix superhero mini crossover series between titular characters of "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage," and "Iron Fist." The series is slated for a summer release after the premiere of "Iron Fist."
