After the long wait, the Nintendo Switch was finally announced during the event held at Tokyo, Japan. Broadcasted simultaneously in Las Vegas, Nintendo also confirmed the release of their upcoming game "Legend of Zelda": Breath of the Wild.
"Legend of Zelda": Breath of the Wild was announced last year, along with the Nintendo NX and both were finally confirmed last week. Both "Legend of Zelda" and Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3rd of this year as the company announced during the event.
CNBC mentioned in their report that though the "Legend of Zelda" series is not the biggest nor received several awards compared to those on the top list, the game is still one of the favorites. "Legend of Zelda" has become of the icons when it comes to the video game industry.
"Legend of Zelda": Breath of the Wild features an open-world environment where players can explore freely, anytime. The new "Legend of Zelda" utilize some of the mechanics and gameplay from the previous title called Twilight Princess with a mix of new in-game content.
The new "Legend of Zelda": Breath of the Wild is presented will very tiny information. With this, players need to explore the map and gain information in-game, which means, the game is more like of an RPG with realistic touch.
A new game trailer was also introduced in the Nintendo Switch Presentation, which features the character named Calamity Ganon. It shows in the trailer some of the in-game footage along with some of the enemies that try to conquer the world.
On the other hand, "Legend of Zelda" was rumored previously that the Wii U version was cancelled, due to some marketing issues. Fortunately, the Nintendo company was able to surpass the issues and confirmed that the "Legend of Zelda": Breath of the Wild will be available on Wii U and Switch as per the GameSpot confirmed.
"Legend of Zelda" will be joining Splatoon and Super Mario Odyssey this coming March 3rd. It has been said that there are over 30 games that will be released along with the Nintendo Switch console.
Aside from these titles, Nintendo was also pleased to announce the FIFA franchise and the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. All these games will all hit the market at the same time, and the same day, pre-orders are now available.
