Rain is finally back with his new song "The Best Present." This marks his official comeback to the music industry after parting ways with Cube Entertainment.
Recently, the 34-year old top singer looks amazing in his new music for the track. The MV of his new song "The Best Present" also features the "Gangnam Style" singer PSY.
Sporting an all-black look with a matching fedora hat, Rain does not disappoint with his outstanding choreography in the music video of his new track. On "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," the singer revealed that he had written the lyrics of the song himself, as reported by Soompi.
In preparation of his comeback, Rain organized a concert called "The Squall World Tour" which travels to the Southeast Asia region. The concert marks the singer's first full concert after his mandatory military service.
The tour kick-off in China, with dates in Hong Kong and South Korea. Wrapping up the tour last December 2016, it is said that a total of 201,000 seats had been sold.
It is worth noting that Rain previously announced on his official Facebook page that he will not renew his contract with Cube Entertainment after coming into a mutual decision of the company's CEO. A month after leaving the agency, Rain announced that he had created his own agency with the aid of his longtime manager and other entertainment artists, The Korea Times reported.
His newly established company, R.A.I.N Company aims to attract fans in Korea and China with singers and actors. Specifically, the company will have specialist executives who will handle people in specific areas, such as singers, actors, or Hallyu stars.
Aside from being a singer-songwriter, Rain whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon is also an actor. In 2003, the singer began his acting career after winning KBS' "Best New Actor" Award for his role in the drama "Sang Doo! Let's Go To School."
