Reports show that the Cleveland Cavaliers are still in search of a backup point guard for Kyrie Irving. It is also one of the demands of LeBron James as he spoke to the management about the issue and Jameer Nelson seemed to be the man they are looking for.
In a report made by the Fox Sports last week, Jameer Nelson is among the three point guards who might be the potential backup point guard to Kyrie Irving. There are three names mentioned by Nelson seemed to be the one to stand out among Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo.
Williams is not as possible as it can be due to his role with the Dallas Mavericks, it is unlikely for the Mavs to send him out without any equivalent. Rajon Rondo could be the man, but his scoring would be a big question, aside from wanting to have more minutes.
According to the Slam Online, LeBron James wants a new point guard to backup Kyrie Irving even just for a couple of minutes on the court, James stated that the team needs a more reliable playmaker that can fill in the offensive numbers whenever Irving is on the bench.
Jameer Nelson could be the last man that the Cavaliers would want to sign due to his skill, talent and tenureship as an NBA player. Nelson can fill up the empty space and role vacated by Mo Williams as he can also produce the same amount of numbers with the same reliability.
Nelson is also cheap to acquire, but another question is filling up the table, who would they send to the Nuggets. With that, let's leave the Cavaliers do the math.
Rumors continue to rise as the NBA trade deadline approaches, the NBA post season is also coming near and teams are starting to throttle up their roster as they enter the NBA Playoffs.
The Cavalaliers already released Mo Williams and Mike Dunleavy in exchange for the Marksman Kyle Korver. Korver has been playing with the Cavs as of the moment and is currently contributing the numbers that the team is expecting from him.
