Writer, director, and actor to the next standalone Batman movie Ben Affleck recently revealed he's tired of hearing people questioning him about Batman. In a promotional stunt for his latest Boston-based flick "Live by the Night", Affleck said people never asked him about his gangster movie which took two years of hard work to make. Moreover, one of the Batman-related questions right now is the possible villains to appear on the movie other than Deathstroke.
Joe Manganiello, the actor who Affleck cast to play the villain Deathstroke, may not be the only bad guy in "The Batman". Although no formal statements have been released from the studio yet, there could be other villains who Batman will pound to the pulp. Below are the possible villains with the perfect actor to cast for the roles.
1. The Riddler. The last time people saw Riddler on the big screen was when Jim Carrey played the role. Andrew Scott, the Moriarty from "Sherlock" would be perfect to play The Riddler. His range of acting has been established in the British TV series, What Culture reported.
2. Poison Ivy. This role can be played by Jessica Chastain. This is the role cut out for the red-haired actress. She looks exactly like her too. One time she established that she doesn't want to play a girlfriend-in-distress for any superhero movie, so this could be perfect.
3. Catwoman. Rebecca Fergusson, the lovely actress who kicked serious butts in the movie Mission Impossible, is fir for this role. Her playing Selena Kyle would give other female comic book characters in movies a run for their money.
4. Penguin. If legendary will grace "The Batman" movie for this role, the mind and heart will not go wanting. His acting always has an edge like Jack Nicholson's iconic Joker.
"The Batman" is still in its pre-production stage. Meaning, its writer is still making the script. Therefore, there's a good chance that any of the actors mentioned above will appear in the DC movie. Ben Affleck has a good eye when it comes to casting actors for his movies.
Fans began to worry about the movie because it wasn't until just recently that Affleck really confirmed he's working on it. The news that flittered around the movie suggests that the Academy award winning director is not 100 percent on board to take the movie, Polygon reported.
Nevertheless, it has all its green lights now. Although there's no specified release date, "The Batman" will return in 2018.
