Preview
Phoenix has been struggling in the first half of the season as they continue to be in the last spot in the Western Conference standings, only a half-game behind the reeling Los Angeles Lakers. The team has lost three of their last four matches.
The Suns are back to their losing ways after pulling off a huge upset win over the San Antonio Spurs in their previous game by falling to the Utah Jazz, 106-101, at their home court of Talking Stick Resort Arena last Monday, as per Fox Sports.
Eric Bledsoe led the squad in the game with an almost triple-double performance of 31 points, shooting 11-for-20 from the field, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Devin Booker added 25 points and one assist in 46 minutes while TJ Warren was the third member of the starting unit in double figures with 15 points.
No one from the bench scored in double digits but PJ Tucker was able to haul down 13 boards as a substitute while scoring eight points.
Three Suns players are out during the game and will also be unavailable against the Cavs, namely Tyson Chandler (illness), Jared Dudley (dizziness), and Brandon Knight (right wrist injury).
Meanwhile, the Cavs are also in a downward spiral at the moment, losing three of their last four games. The champs remain at the top spot of the Eastern Conference table, though, with second-place squad Toronto Raptors only two games behind.
Cleveland was crushed by arch-rivals Golden State Warriors, 126-91, in their most recent game also on Monday night held at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, The Guardian reported.
LeBron James had 20 points, eight rebounds, and two assists while Kyrie Irving added 17 points, two boards, and two assists. Iman Shumpert contributed 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals as a starter.
Kevin Love only played 16 minutes on Sunday, producing three points and three boards on 1-for-6 field goal shooting, because of a sore back. He is unavailable in this game versus the Suns.
