After the success of her prerelease track "Pretend," popular Korean singer-actress Suzy is set to launch her upcoming mini album, "Yes? No?" Early reviews of the soundtrack, however, are already raving about the album, praising it for Suzy's impressive vocals as well as its lyrical value.

What else should fans watch out for in Suzy's "Yes? No?" album? Here's everything there is to know about the upcoming album before it hits the stores on Jan. 24.

What to expect from Suzy's 'Yes? No?' album

The upcoming "Yes? No?" album is the first solo album for Suzy, the youngest member of Korean girl band MissA. The soundtrack, which would be released on Jan. 24, will feature six songs, and will be topbilled by the single "Yes No Maybe."

Suzy's agency, JYP Entertainment, confirmed that "Yes No Maybe" was inspired by a personal conversation between Suzy and Park Jin-young, according to the Jakarta Post. Jin-young, JYP Entertainment's singer-producer and CEO, is also known for other successful K-pop superstars like Rain, Wonder Girls and 2PM. No wonder his involvement in the writing process for "Yes No Maybe" is a huge deal for Suzy's upcoming album.

Songs featured in 'Yes? No?' album

One of the songs from "Yes? No?" was already released on Tuesday, Jan. 17. An R&B song, "Pretending to be Happy"was written by local songwriter Armadillo, the same report stated. The song tackled stories of people who were in deep pain but mustered strength to appear happy on the outside.

Two of the songs in the album, "Les Preferences" and "Heater Forever," were written by Suzy herself, according to Drama Fever. She even contributed to the music for "Heater Forever," which is the fifth track for the album.

Album to come with teaser images

Suzy also dropped three teaser images for "Yes? No?" on Thursday midnight, Jan. 19. The teaser photos, which were tinged with melancholy and sadness, were reminiscent of Wong Kar-wai's aesthetic for "Chungking Express," and were the concept images for "Pretend," one of the tracks in her upcoming album.
