Ben Affleck, the newest Batman in the DC Extended Universe, reveals that he bagged the coolest movie souvenir ever. In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Affleck, who also happens to be the writer/director of the standalone Batman movie to be released in 2018, said he asked for the replica of the Batman suit seen in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Not only that, he was also given a Batarang, the one that Flash asked to keep in the "Justice League" movie trailer.
While he was promoting his latest movie, which is a gangster movie set in Boston entitled "Live by Night", the award-winning director and writer and one of the biggest actors in this century revealed that he asked for a replica of the Batsuit. Fans can remember it in one of the BVS scenes where Bruce Wayne was standing in front of a vandalized Batsuit. That was the souvenir he got to keep, Cinema Blend reported.
While he did not reveal if he tried to put it on, the actor said he keeps it on the dummy in his house since. He could've asked for the Batmobile too, but Warner Bros doesn't own it. If Affleck wanted it, he could commission it from another source, the same report reveals.
Moreover, it can be assumed that Warner Bros and DCEU were happy to have him play the most popular superhero of all time. The Batsuit wasn't the only souvenir they allowed him to take. According to another report, Affleck was also given the Batarang.
Affleck said he asked if he could take home a Batarang and they gave him one, Comic Book reported. While the Batarang is not as cool as the Batmobile, it's still pretty cool. Fans all over the world will collectively have their hearts explode if they can keep one and to find out that the new Batman kept one delivers the same effect nonetheless.
Affleck will return as Batman in the big screen with "Justice League". There he enlists the help of Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman where they seek other metahumans such as Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to save the planet from bigger catastrophic forces to come.
