Elvis Han, 24, also known as Han Dongjun, Gülnezer Bextiyar, 23, who is professionally known as Guli Nazha, will play the lead roles in "Chinese Paladin 5." The Chinese title of the upcoming Chinese period drama series is "Yun Zi Fan."
Before "Chinese Paladin 5," Han starred in the drama series "The Romance of the Condor Heroes," "Wu Xin: The Monster Killer" and "Good Time." In his upcoming TV show, his character is a bright and outgoing child of a noble family named Jiang Yun Fan, who will be adopted by a bandit family and will live in the mountains keeping his great sense of justice.
Aside from her appearance in "Idol Up" and her drama series "Classic of the Mountains," Nazha is also known for being romantically linked to Zhang Han. In "Chinese Paladin 5," she will play the leading female character named Tang Yu Rou, who specializes in medicine and is part of the Four Great Families.
Produced by Tangren Media, the Chinese Paladin" series is based on RPG video games is known for launching the careers of its lead cast members. Among them are Hu Ge, Cecilia Liu, Ady An, Wallace Huo, Tang Yan, Yang Mi, Yuan Hong, and Crystal Liu, who recently sat in Dior's front row during her first appearance at Paris Couture Week, WWD reported.
"The Queens" and "The Beloved" actor Joe Cheng is playing a supporting role in "Chinese Paladin 5." The Taiwanese actor will play a mentor, which is similar to Li Xiaoyao, the role originally played by Hu.
Cheng's voice will be dubbed over in "Chinese Paladin 5" like in all historical Mainland Chinese series, according to Julia and Tania. His character is the evil Long You, a quiet and handsome Devil Master of Mountain Zhu described as arrogant from the outside but warm inside.
Directed by Chen Wei Tao, He Zhen Hua and Zheng Wei Wen, "Chinese Paladin 5" is the TV series adaptation of the sixth instalment of the Taiwanese role-playing game "The Legend of Sword and Fairy." Other cast members are Vanessa Wang Miao, Zhang Ziang, He Zhen Hua and Zheng Wei Wen.
