Hideo Kojima may loose old fans with his new approach in his upcoming "Death Stranding" game, but expects to gain new ones. He said in his latest interview that novels, films, and games will merge into one type of media form.

In an interview, he said that they are preparing with the future starting with his latest project, Death Stranding, as they plan to bring a whole new gaming experience for everyone, BBC reported. After leaving Konami and setting up his new Kojima Productions, he has more freedom now to focus on making good games. He said that people do a lot of things and has no time to choose which type of media to use, which is why he is developing a platform where all types of entertainment converge.

He said that he wants "Death Stranding" to be something people can easily get into, but as they progress through the game, they would notice that they are playing a game like they have never experienced before, Dual Shockers reported. This new approach, which he would like to take for his new game, may cause him to lose fans, but may also bring in new ones, he said.

He wants a future where movies are playable and games let players watch more cinematic content if they want to. But before that future arrives, he will still focus on his latest game, "Death Stranding," which is still in the early stages of its development. The legendary director, however, didn't give more details on the upcoming game, which was recently revealed last year.

He didn't give any further comment about the new game, but he said that fans will experience something very different in "Death Stranding" that they have never seen in his previous games. He even challenged the VR gaming industry saying that it should do something better with what he is planning to do for the future of gaming.

Besides the gameplay and the merging of different forms of entertainment into one type of media, he also tackled the issue of over-sexualizing women in games. He said he will take a different approach on this in his new game.
