Based on Cinema Blend's report, the cast of "This Is Us," were almost teary eyed, especially Mandy Moore, when the news broke out to them that a new season of the show has been renewed in advance. The show received a high rating since it did first air its pilot. It continues to do well after it hit more than 3.0 in Live+Same Day numbers and having over 9.5 million viewers every episode.

Because of this success, the network is bold enough to renew it ahead of time. This is not the first time that a show was renewed prematurely because networks do this sometimes just like what happened to "The Big Bang Theory" when it was renewed for three seasons in advance. "Game of Thrones" is also a good example of shows like this, which means that there is a huge potential for "This Is Us" to become a household name and a be a huge hit.
Meanwhile, fans are intrigued on what is going to happen to Jack's character, as played by Milo Ventimiglia, since he recently died in the first season. His character's death was sudden and shocking for fans.Mandy Moore had some good explanation about it in an interview with US Weekly.
She said that they are getting a lot of questions about it if Jack is really dead in the story or is it going to be like "Game of Thrones" and the death of Jon Snow. Moore confirmed that indeed as of the moment, Jack's character is dead but his spirit is very much alive in the story.
Fans should just wait if the writers will resurrect his character in the next episodes of "This Is Us." The show is aired every Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST.
