ABC network has a new comedy show called "The Trustee" and it is about a female police. The network ordered it from actress Elizabeth Banks on Jan. 26.
Based on The Wrap's report, the network has decided to release a pilot of the show thinking it would be a future hit. The story revolves around a detective who is a little bit hardheaded and a trustee working at the precinct. The latter is an ex-con who is serving his last days in prison doing little assignments from cops in that particular precinct.
The two have opposite views regarding the subject of crime and the consequences when one makes them. Their duo would bring about something new to TV reviewers. The pilot will be for an hour and it is written and produced by the same people who worked on "The Smurfs" franchise namely, Jay Scherick and David Ronn.
According to Variety, this project is under the production of Elizabeth Banks with her Max Handelman, who happens to also be her husband. The couple is both working on their own production house called Brownstone Productions, which the network ordered for the pilot of the said upcoming show
"The Trustee" is not the only show that got a go signal for the pilot coming from ABC, shows like "Start Up" is also happening, which is produced, starred and directed by Zach Braff. For those who needs their memory refreshed, Braff used to be one of the stars of the show, "Scrubs."
Another project is bound to have a pilot on the network but still remained untitled for now. The only information that there is about it is that it would be about a rapper who became a mayor named, Hamilton. No one knows as well if it is going to be patterned to the hit broadway show of the same title.
