The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 smartphones are two of the most highly-anticipated flagship devices that are expected to hit the market soon. Several leaks in the past have shed some light regarding the specs of these two smartphones, something that led to tech analysts closely comparing the two.

On the display front, the Galaxy S8 is clearly in front with its 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with curved edges on both sides. However, the LG G6 might be underrated with its 5.7-inch display but it does feature a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio compared to the S8's 80 percent, according to Phone Arena.

The Galaxy S8 is also the clear winner on the chipset component, with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 834 chipset compared to the less-powerful Snapdragon 821 on the G6, according to Slash Gear. Both smartphones are expected to feature 4GB of memory, but there will be slight differences on how Samsung and LG will manage this precious resource using some tweaks on their software.

Regarding the camera specs, the two upcoming flagship devices are expected to sport dual-camera setups. The main difference, however, is their choice of sensors. The Galaxy S8 is expected to sport a 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel combination. On the other hand, rumors claim that the LG G will also sport a dual-camera configuration but the exact specs of the sensors are still unknown.

Samsung is also throwing in new features on the Galaxy S8. It is widely rumored that the South Korean tech giant have developed its own smart digital assistant called Bixby. If this is true, it is only fitting that the feature will make its official debut on the company's flagship device.

Regarding the LG G6, not much is really known about the device. However, a recent leak revealed some interesting details about the upcoming flagship phone. The leaked photo confirmed the phone's dual-camera setup on the rear, and the fingerprint scanner situated just below it.
