NCT Dream released some new teaser images for their impending comeback. The sub-unit group will return to the music scene with their new album "The First."
On Feb.7 at midnight KST, NCT Dream released a new set of teaser images for their title track "My First and Last." The song is included in their comeback album "The First."
The images features members Mark and Haechan, and another fabulous group shot, as reported by Soompi. Earlier, the sub-unit also released sets of teaser images for members Chenle, Jisung, Renjun, and Jeno.
The group will be making their first comeback on Jan. 9 along with its first single album. However, their label SM Entertainment announced that Jaemin won't participate in the comeback due to his health condition, Allkpop revealed.
"Last year, Jaemin, who joined promotions for 'Chewing Gum', has been treated for a herniated disc since his trainee days. His condition has worsened and because we believe that artist's health is first priority and most important, we decided for him to focus on treatment and take a break from promotions."
NCT Dream is a sub-unit of the K-pop group NCT under SM Entertainment which debuted in August 2016 with their track "Chewing Gum. The group is composed of seven members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.
The name NCT stands for the Hallyu localization project "Neo Culture Technology," a term which was coined by SM Entertainment's founder Lee Soo Man. It is said to describe the group's concept of having unlimited number of members which is divided into various sub-units based in multiple cities worldwide.
Most of the group's members were formerly part of SM Rookies, a pre-debut group of SM Entertainment trainees. The first batch of rookies debuted as members of the girl group Red Velvet in 2014 and was later followed by NCT.
