Mnet's "Yang Nam Show" will start with a bang for its second season that will be called "Shin Yang Nam Show." Aside from its new format, fans will have to look forward for the return of the show as they will feature BTS members as their first guests.
According to Soompi, Mnet confirmed BTS will make an appearance on "Shin Yang Nam Show." In fact, the network revealed the boy group is scheduled to record their episode on Saturday, Feb. 11.
"Shin Yang Nam Show" will be hosted by Yang Se Hyung, Eric Nam and Super Junior's Shin Dong. In the previous season, the Mnet show featured K-Pop idols including I.O.I, TWICE, SHINee, Red Velvet, B1A4, Cosmic Girls and APINK."
"Yang Nam Show" aired its final episode on Dec. 29 with SEVENTEEN members as the guests. Meanwhile, "Shin Yang Nam Show" is slated to start airing on Feb. 23 at 7:40 pm KST.
On the other hand, BTS is set to release their newest album "WINGS: You Never Walk Alone" on Feb. 13. Three days before the launch of their new music, the boy group dropped a teaser video of "Spring Day," raising fans' excitement for their comeback.
However, KBS recently announced they are banning a BTS song from airing. Koreaboo cited the company deemed "WINGS: Outro" unfit for broadcasting because of its profane lyrics.
KBS emphasized that the decision to ban the BTS song from airing was a result of a long and thorough discussions. Following the statement, Big Hit Entertainment said the boy group will promote through their title track, unlike previous plan to include "WINGS: Outro."
Despite the KBS' decision to ban the song from airing, Big Hit Entertainment refused to submit the BTS song for reassessment.
