Comedian Seth Meyers admits that he is the reason why Donald Trump won the Presidential race and it was because of his speech during the White House Correspondents Association's (WHCA) dinner back in 2011. He opened up about it when he visited fellow late night show host, Jimmy Fallon on Feb. 8, Wednesday.
The website LastNightOn featured Seth Meyers humor during his interview with Jimmy Fallon. The former Saturday Night Live (SNL) member reminisced his times at the WHCA and remembered how Donald Trump was there in front having no reaction at all from his material.
Apart from that, he also shared some of the moment he had with Trump when he did a guesting on SNL in 2004. Trump, who used to be the host of "The Apprentice" back then, was teamed up with Meyers to do a sketch. The storyline was about Meyers being someone who doesn't get along with his father who happened to be the character of Donald Trump.
Meyers said that it was sort of a premonition about Trump not being fond of him years later. His own words were, "he doesn't love me," while talking to Fallon during the show. He proved it when he was hosting the WHCA in 2011 and Trump's gave him a stoned-face for a reaction.
Yahoo also reported about Meyer's funny confession saying he was even insulted when people thought it was Fallon who is to blame for the winning of President Trump. The controversy spiked when Trump was a guest of Fallon before the election. Him looking approachable and even being funny on the show were said to have contributed for people to see him look good for the office.
This is something that Meyers begged to disagree because he is convinced that it was the night after he hosted the WHCD. He said that it was that night when Trump finally decided to actually run for president.
