South Korean TV host Yoo Jae Suk has recently shared his thought on being called as “God” on the Feb. 9 installment of KBS2’s variety show ”Happy Together.”
According to the 44-year-old star, he does not want to be called “Yoo-neu-nim,” which refers to God in Korean, as it makes him feel pressured. Furthermore, he also admitted that he does not like the thought of being famous. On the other hand, in some ways, he enjoys being popular as well.
"This is the first time I'm saying this, but I really don't want to hear my title 'Yoo-neu-nim',” said Yoo as quoted by All KPop. However, his fellow host Park Myung Soo butted: "But I recently heard you introducing yourself as 'Yoo-neu-nim' on the phone with a customer service agent."
Meanwhile, Yoo’s talent management agency FNC Entertainment has recently denied the circulating information that he will be attending an upcoming event in Taiwan for SBS’s “Running Man.”. According to the label, the star will not be able to make it as he has prior commitments.
“...However, false information has been spreading about how Yoo Jae Suk is able to attend the event, causing many fans to become confused. We request for no further damage to be done because of this. Yoo Jae Suk as well as the company has not authorised anyone in relation to these fan meetings,” the label stated as quoted by Soompi.
FNC Entertainment added: “Nevertheless, there are companies that continue to spread incorrect information, saying that they were authorised to do so. They are even doing illegal activities such as using Yoo Jae Suk’s portrait rights without due notice. Our company is currently taking a variety of paths in order to collect evidence, and we will be taking strong, legal action.”
Dubbed as "Nation's MC," made his entertainment debut in 1991 after participating in KBS Comedian Festival. He rose to fame through the variety shows “Running Man”, “Infinite Challenge”, and “Happy Together.”
