"Toy Story 4" is coming to theaters on June 16, 2017. The same guy who directed the first ever "Toy Story" animated film in 1995, John Lasseter will be working on it again.
According to D23, all the original writers and storytellers of the first "Toy Story" movie will also be working on this one. Lasseter said that fans of this series will learn more about a new life that is waiting for characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peeps just to name a few.
"Toy Story 3" was so dramatic that it was impossible for viewers not to cry, especially when the story ended with Woody and Buzz having to part ways with Andy. Lasseter said that since then, it was kind of hard for them to even talk about doing another sequel to that story again.
Fortunately, another idea came to him along with writers Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, and Lee Unkrich and couldn't stop thinking about it. Lasseter got so excited about the idea that he decided to even direct it again this time. As soon as they finished exchanging ideas, he knew that this movie just has to happen.
Quincy Jones' daughter, Rashida Jones along with Will McCormack will be part of the writing team. On the other hand, Pixar's Galyn Susman is producing this project.
Writing team Rashida Jones and Will McCormack (Celeste and Jesse Forever) came on to the project, which is being produced by Pixar veteran Galyn Susman.
TVOvermind said that "Toy Story 4" will focus more on a romantic relationship between Woody and Bo Peeps. For those who saw "Toy Story 3," Woody and Bo already kissed but nobody still knows if they are exactly an item. This new sequel will finally confirm if the two are actually in a relationship.
