Angelina Jolie sets initial screening of "First They Killed My Father" movie in Cambodia: Loung Ung's autobiography filmed

It's been a while since Angelina Jolie directed a film and now she's out to promote her latest movie titled "First They Killed My Father". The era of the storyline happened during the period of Khmer Rouge and will be presented at the Angkor Wat temple compound.

Jolie is going to feature her latest directed movie, "First They Killed My Father" about the dreadfulness of the Khmer Rouge generation. She will reveal it at the olden compound of the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia, the country where her adopted son Maddox came from.

Mail Online has learned that the Cambodian king along with the remnants of the communist dynasty is going to attend the initial presentation of "First They Killed My Father". Almost 1,500 people are invited to the movie which is about the life story of Loung Ung.

At a young age of five, Loung Ung already suffered Khmer Rouge wickedness forcing her family to an excruciating agony in beastly labor bivouacs before the poor girl fled to the US in the long run. Khmer Rouge's pursuit for a land Marxist paradise, era salvaged almost 2 million Cambodians from 1975-1975 by means of starvation, killing, and exhaustion.

Director of Cambodia's Cinema and Cultural Diffusion Department said, "The movie reflects the brutality of the Khmer Rouge regime. This is a big deal for us. There is a strong interest among the Cambodian people."

Aside from the Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, his wife Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk together with senior government officials is anticipated to attend the preliminary showing of "First They Killed My Father" movie. It is the autobiography of Loung Ung, a Cambodian human-rights activist, and Jolie's friend, as cited by People.

According to Jolie, she wanted everyone to understand the story from a child's point of views, family affection, exhibit the country's splendor, and realize all the pain and sufferings that Maddox parents had experienced.

Jolie co-produced the "First They Killed My Father" movie with Cambodia's most renowned filmmaker, Rithy Panh. The casts are only Cambodian actors with native Khmer as the language spoken throughout the movie. The film will be launched around the world through Netflix well ahead this year.
