In the midst of the record-breaking success of "Spring Day" and "Not Today," BTS fans took notice of Jin's rare appearance in the official music video of the latter. In fact, Big Hit Entertainment even removed the member from the thumbnail of the MV.
According to Allkpop, most of the ARMYs were disappointed after realizing that Jin only had a one-time solo appearance in "Not Today" MV. Jin's appearance, which barely lasted for a second, was initially used as the thumbnail of the YouTube video.
However, it seems that Big Hit Entertainment made some changes and has taken out Jin's frame from the thumbnail. At the moment of writing, the agency has set a group shot of BTS as the new thumbnail of "Not Today" MV.
ARMYs thought Jin is being treated unfairly for receiving fewer lines for their songs, and now, screen appearance for their music videos. Some of them even called out Big Hit Entertainment to address the matter.
"Why 7 members not 6? I know he is in the group for a reason I believe in Jin's talent but when will Big Hit Entertainment give him his time to shine?" an ARMY posted.
Another one posted, "If big groups with like 10 members can balance lines/screen time, the same should be able to be done for BTS."
Despite the issue, BTS continues to soar higher after releasing "Spring Day" and "Not Today" under their newest album "You Never Walk Alone." As per Soompi, the seven-member group even surpassed their own record for most-viewed K-Pop video within a day.
Reports stated BTS crossed the 10 million mark in less than 22 hours for "Not Today," beating previous record earned by "Spring Day." Further claims revealed the latter reached the milestone at 26 hours and 37 minutes.
