"Chicago Typewriter" has confirmed Yoo Ah In, Im Soo Jung, and Go Kyung Pyo as its lead cast. The upcoming tvN drama will get the Friday-Saturday slot of the network.
As the source revealed, the three actors have been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama "Chicago Typewriter" and will have their first table reading this week. Yoo, Soo Jung, and Go are also set to meet the rest of the cast as well as the production team.
Yoo, 30, is set to play the role as Han Se Joo, a bestseller author whose popularity is similar to an idol. Despite his popularity, he is very sensitive, timid, and actually depressed on the inside, Allkpop reported.
Soo Jung will be playing as the veterinarian Jeon Seol, who is also fond of literary. Soo Jung's character focus faithfully on living the present and doesn't worry about her future.
Go will be playing as the ghost writer Yoo Jin Oh, the real author behind Yoo's bestseller books. In the drama, he is a lover of jazz and antiques with a mysterious character, Soompi reported.
The fantasy comedy drama is set in the 1930s during the Japanese occupation in South Korea. "Chicago Typewriter" depicts the story of best-selling author, a ghostwriter writing under his name, and an anti-fan of the writer.
"Chicago Typewriter" is set to air after Lee Je Hoon and Shin Min Ah's drama "Tomorrow With You," which is expected to wrap up after 16 episodes. The drama is currently airing on tvN every Fridays and Saturdays at 20:00 KST.
Meanwhile, "Tomorrow With You" is a story which revolves around Yoo So Joon (Lee), a CEO of a real estate company, who has the ability to travel through time via a subway; and his wife Song Ma Rin (Shin), who works as an amateur photographer.
In the future, So Joon foresees his future-self living miserably so he decided to marry Ma Rin to avoid that fate. However, as time passes by, So Joon learns to love Ma Rin selflessly.
