The Indiana Pacers are looking to upgrade their roster as they are about to enter the NBA Playoffs in the next couple of months. They are currently targeting Brook Lopez of the New Jersey Nets thinking that Lopez could provide a big help to their superstar Paul George.

According to the 8Points, they said that the Pacers are looking for a way to maintain their relationship with Paul George. They want George to re-sign with them after his contract expires, the reason they are pursuing to acquire a man that could help him out.

The Pacers are reportedly pursuing Brook Lopez from the New Jersey Nets. As the report shows, the Pacers are trying to lure Lopez out of the Nets as they are about to offer 2017 No. 1 pick along with Al Jefferson and Rodney Stucky.

As for the Nets, they are now known to be in the rebuilding process as of today with a very disappointing season. The team is struggling with a 9 wins and 47 loses this season and has been rumored ready to let go of Brook Lopez as they are trying to rebuild their club from scratch.

As per the Bleacher Report, the Nets are uncertain of Brook Lopez' return in the summer of 2018, he is also an unrestricted free agent, a reason enough for them to deal him out in order to get something in return. The Nets are also facing a very big issue as their 2017 first-round pick is turning over the Celtics 2018 first-round.

Lopez is currently averaging 20.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and will obviously improve the Indiana Pacers scoring and rebounding if acquired. The Pacers are in hopes to land Lopez as they are about to place their offer anytime at least before February 23rd.

The Pacers want to preserve their current superstar Paul George, that is why they are working out to improve the roster around him. Paul George's contract will expire in 2019, leaving the Pacers as an unrestricted free agent.

Both the Nets and the Pacers are trying to improve their rosters respectively. Any decision is likely to be placed anytime within the next 48 hours.
