BTS' MV for their new single "Not Today" has reached 20 million views on YouTube. It became the first K-Pop group music video to reach the milestone in less than three days.
On Feb. 20, the music video for the group's new single "Not Today" was uploaded on YouTube at 12:32 a.m KST. The upload was done a week after BTS released their new repackaged album "You Never Walk Alone."
"Not Today" immediately broke the records that BTS had set a week before with their "Spring Day" MV. The song was hailed as the fastest K-Pop group music video to reach a 10 million views, as well as the most viewed MV for a K-Pop group in 24 hours.
And yesterday, the song broke another "Spring Day" MV records by reaching 20 million views in less than 2 days and 19 hours, Soompi reported. The "Spring Day" MV had reached the milestone after 3 days, 15 hours, and 50 minutes.
Meanwhile, the group has also won another award during the 6th annual Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards which was held in Seoul on Wednesday night. BTS has won the "Album of the Year" award together with other K-Pop group GOT7 and EXO, Billboard reported.
The award was based on the group's physical album sales were BTS and GOT7 dominated the sales during the beginning and end of the year. On the other hand, EXO reigned during the second and third quarter.
Twelve other groups were also named artist of the year based on their monthly digital sales and steams. These acts includes girl groups GFRIEND, Mamamoo, TWICE, Sistar, the now disbanded Wonder Girls, and BLACKPINK. BIGBANG was the only male K-Pop group to receive the award, which is a sign for the band's overwhelming popularity.
The 6th annual Gaon K-Pop Awards was held to celebrate the best and the brightest of last year's K-Pop scene.
