As a Marvel fan, there is nothing to worry about as "Doctor Strange" is still going to appear. Not only in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, but is confirmed that a new movie sequel is already planned.
Marvel Studios's "Doctor Strange" is a massive hit last year and there is no reason for the film not to have its second sequel. For that, Benedict Cumberbatch suggested that the film director Scott Derrickson should come back for the next movie.
Earlier this year, the planned "Doctor Strange 2" was said to have some troubles to look for a director. Fortunately, the film star Benedict Cumberbatch was able to step forward, stating that it would be great to have Scoot Derrickson back in the film as he already prove his talent and skills when it comes to directing. Cumberbatch also claims that Derrickson really helped him during filming.
Horror director Scott Derrickson made his debut on the Marvel Universe as he directed the recent "Doctor Strange." The film got a high profits after its release as the movie was said to be the film to have the highest gross last year.
"Doctor Strange" star Benedict Cumberbatch was reported to suggest the production to sign Derrickson to direct the "Doctor Strange 2." Cumberbatch batch said that Derrickson has a great ability when it comes to multi-tasking without leaving some of the best visual effects of the film as per the Cinema Blend.
Meanwhile, according to the Den of Greek, "Doctor Strange 2" might not be seen in the big-screen faster than we expect. Since Marvel has just announced several comic book films in the future, it seems that "Doctor Strange 2" won't be happening for a long time. Derrickson stated that even if they create the next movie sequel, they wouldn't have any idea on where to fit in.
However, the director said that the "Doctor Strange 2" film is possible to happen, but with indefinite time. Aside from garnering a massive amount of dollar last year, Doctor Strange still plays a big part in the Marvel Universe, enough reason to believe that the movie could pull more sequels in the future.
