After the successful "Descendants of the Sun" OST concert held in Seoul, the show will now expand internationally and will be held in seven locations in four different countries to relive the memories of the Hallyu drama.
An announcement on May 22 by representatives of the show said "Descendants of the Sun" OST concert will take place in various location in China such as Beijing and Hong Kong. The "DOTS" OST concert will also be held in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore.
Event organizers from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Singapore, as well as the directors of the original "Descendants of the Sun" concert have reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding.
Since "Descendants of the Sun" is already considered one of the best Hallyu drama shows this year, requests are pouring in from different countries for a "Descendants of the Sun" OST concert to be staged. According to a representative of the show, although "Descendants of the Sun" is done airing, the fervor and passion of fans towards the drama, which stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, is still alive.
The first "DOTS" OST concert was held in Seoul (Kyung Hee University, Hall of Peace) on May 17, and it attracted an audience of more than 7000 fans. During the "Descendants of the Sun" OST concert, fans relived their excitement towards the drama as the scenes from "DOTS" were displayed while singers performed. Aside from the scenes displayed on the background, fans also saw some behind-the-scenes stories narrated by "Descendants of the Sun" stars.
