YG Entertainment has officially confirmed that BIGBANG's guerilla concert, which was supposed to commemorate the group's 10th year anniversary this year, has been canceled due to safety issues.

"We would like to notify you that BIGBANG's guerilla concert, which was scheduled for this week, has ultimately been canceled," an official statement from the company said.

The company explained that various ideas have been suggested for BIGBAND's 10th-anniversary celebration, including a plan to hold a surprise guerilla concert for their fans. However, the news leaked as the company was attempting to reserve a venue for the highly anticipated concert.

For this reason, the guerilla concert, which was supposed to be a surprise, "became as if it was announced in advance."

Expressing worry about the possible huge influx of the number of fans, the company decided to cancel the scheduled concert.

"After long and hard consideration, YG Entertainment and BIGBANG would like to let you know that we are canceling the guerilla concert and are coming up with other ideas to enjoy the 10th anniversary with fans as safely as possible," the statement said. "Looking forward to seeing what other exciting plans arise for BIGBANG's 10th anniversary!"

Meanwhile, the KPOP band's fan meeting in China on June and July will still continue as planned. Some 110,000 VIPs are expected to attend the event.

BIGBANG will also perform live at Osaka's Nagai Stadium in July to commemorate its decade-long career in the show business. The show will be a three-day concert.
