The success of the Korean drama, the "Goblin," was unmatched. Also named as "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," the series fared well with Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook on board.
However, reports are coming that the segment might get another air time with "Goblin 2." Despite the claims, there have been no supporting details regarding its return. Even though the fans want it to happen, the showrunners of the series remain tight lipped over the matter.
According to ASZ, the "Goblin" star Gong Yoo is thankful for those that have supported him in his career and being the man that he is, it is understandable why fans and followers would demand that he returns as the Goblin, (도깨비) if ever a sequel is confirmed.
The same report added on to note that the "Train to Busan" star has scheduled a bazaar and relayed that the bazaar will be an opportunity for the "Goblin," star Gong Yoo to get one step closer to the fans who have loved and supported him for a long time, while also giving back to society as any and all proceeds will be donated to help those in need.
On a side note, Lee Dong Wook took the spotlight when Daebak and the cast of "The Return of Superman" showed their affection for the Grim Reaper, a role that Dong Wook played in "Goblin." Soompi reported that Lee Soo Jin shared three photos of her children and husband Lee Dong Gook hanging out with their friend Lee Dong Wook and captioned it as, "We met uncle Lee Dong Wook again for the first time in a long time." She also added hashtags such as, "Always good to see you," "Lots of love," and "Full of laughter."
The report added that when Daebak, Seol Ah, and Soo Ah went with their dad Lee Dong Gook to a salon, Daebak was shown photos of several male celebrities and at first, Daebak chose Lee Dong Wook's "Goblin" co-star Gong Yoo.
For the fans and followers of the "Goblin" stars Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo, the sequel remains unverified and even the collaborative works tagging Park Shin Hye should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.
